The Councillor of Tourism, Antonio Garcia, today introduced the new service driven by the Puerto Marina de Las Salinas in collaboration with the Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar
A tourist train runs along the downtown free of San Pedro, the beaches of Lo Pagan and Puerto Marina area of ​​Las Salinas, located in the vicinity of the beach of La Llana and the Regional Park of Salinas y Arenales.
The Councillor of Tourism, Antonio Garcia, accompanied by the councilman of Commerce, Guillermo Garcia, and the manager of Marina Puerto de Las Salinas, Domingo Macanás, today this initiative was launched in pilot form at the beginning of the month July.
Garcia highlighted the great success he has had this new service, with an average of more than 300 passengers a day, and commended the collaboration of the Puerto Marina de Las Salinas, in this type of initiatives that promote the tourism sector in the area.
It also explained that the train, with capacity for 70 people, currently makes six starts, the hours of 11:30 to 12:30 hours and 18:00 to 22:00 hours, while aiming to extend until 01: 00 hours of the morning.
The route of this train starts in the port, the road crosses the Regional Park, reaches the center of San Pedro del Pinatar, which makes a stop in front of the Casino, and advance to the next stops on The Esplanade and The Lo Pagan Mill in Villananitos.
The tour makes a stop outside the hotel last Thalasia and ends back at the port.
Garcia highlighted the benefits of this service, connecting the village areas difficult to access in summer by the high concentration of traffic and provides an alternative to private car use.
