The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, Director of Trade and Consumer generl, Maria Dolores Alarcon, today opened the exhibition about the marine life that includes a full program of sports, educational, cultural, recreational, and meidoambientales Dining
The First Sea World Exhibition has started today with a large number of people and dozens of proposed activities for visitors such as boat tours and tourist train, a photographic journey the Mar Menor, take contact sports such as diving, sailing or kayaking, visits to the Regional Park or talks on the marine ecosystem.
The mayor of the municipality, Visitation Martinez, and the Director General of Commerce, Maria Dolores Alarcon, inaugurated the event which aims to raise awareness of the Mar Menor and the business, cultural, sports or environmental taking place around him all year.
During the opening ceremony, which has been entertained by the folk group La Peña El Caldero, have shown many of the activities that monopolized the exhibition during Holy Week.
The event will be held from 4 to 8 April from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, and its main stage the esplanade of Lo Pagan, showing permanent exhibitions of boats, fishing gear, fish tanks with native species, vessels sports, mud therapy treatments and samples talasoterapoa or representations of tradition as entrenched as the fish auction, making the pot or salt extraction.
The mayor explained that this exhibition aims to make San Javier in a large theme park Sea World, also showing the particulars of San Javier, as people born and developed on two seas, all visitors to the town.
Visitation Martinez also stressed that the First Sea World Exhibition aims to make San Javier in the meeting point for lovers of the sea and offer visitors a day to add Leisure pinatarense Holy Week, declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
The First Sea World Exhibition also includes activities in the three nautical club in the municipality, the Marine Activities Centre and the Regional Park of Salinas y Arenales, which will be connected by a tourist train linking the coastal zone and the urban core.
During the five day event will take place as more than thirty activities and environmental education workshops, competitions and sports courses, lectures on marine species like sea horse, the Posidonia oceanic or underwater archeology and maritime rescue drills, including other proposals.
