During the months of July to September, the Centre for Tourism Initiatives in San Javier and the Tourist Information Point Villananitos have treated a total of 8942 consultations, a 18.24 percent increase over the same period of 2011
The local tourist information service in San Javier has attended during the months of July to September 8942 total visits, a 18.24% increase on the same period in 2011, of which 2939 were in the center of Initiatives Tourist and 6,000 in the Tourist Information Point (PIT) of Villananitos.
This increase in visits is mainly due to the extension of hours of the Centre for Tourism Initiatives, which have doubled the number of consultations with the previous year, and the launch of the Information Point in this period Villananitos .
The PIT is located Villananitos a strategic place to handle inquiries from thousands of tourists visit in summer San Javier, whether to apply the sludge in the ponds of Salinas, playing games in the Regional Park area or enjoy the swim in the calm waters of the Mar Menor.
According to statistics collected in the PIT of Villananitos, the 55.18% of tourists attended San Javier chosen as a destination for sun and beach, while the supply of health and health attracted 40.37% of visitors .
As the most demanded, the 33.60% of the consultations were to order a municipality level, 16.21% on tours and excursions, a 13.69% to health and health facilities, a 10.87% to transport and 5.03% to parties, among other topics.

From 1 October, the tourist information service is centralized in the Tourist Initiative Centre which is open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00, Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16 : 00 to 18:00 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 10:30 to 14:00 hours.
