Hotel occupancy data during the current summer period show a significant improvement over 2012, with an increase of over 10% in the months of July and August and 5.5% in June.
Hotel occupancy in San Pedro del Pinatar has grown significantly in the months of June, July and August, compared to the same period last year, surpassing the 82,000 overnight stays.
The hotels consists of 1,377 seats and the occupation has reached more favorable data in August, with 82.79% against 71.42% for the same month last year, representing an increase of 11.37% .
Of note is the high level of occupancy various four-star establishments where this figure exceeds 90% in August.
This improvement in the sector also has been reflected in the previous months and occupancy in July was about 65.97%, 10.15% more than in 2012 when it reached a 55.82%.
While in the month of June has exceeded 50% of employment, 5.58 points higher than the same month last year.
The positive data from the summer campaign also been reflected in the activities planned by the Department of Tourism as the Physiotherapy program at Sea, with a total of 1,723 participants between the months of July and August.
