The Community and the City of San Pedro del Pinatar work for the implementation of the Comprehensive Security Center (12/09/2013)

Fields notes that it is a "preferred infrastructure" for the town, which will provide a service "more personalized and better quality" to citizens

The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, said today in San Pedro del Pinatar that the regional government is working in coordination with the City to plan and take the measures necessary to promote the implementation of the Comprehensive Security Center Township, which will integrate security services and municipal emergencies.

Campos was speaking after a meeting with the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martínez, and members of its municipal government team, which assessed the status of the main projects of the municipality, including the Center for Integrated Security, which analyzed recent aspects that allow the center to start as soon as possible.

This is a "preferred infrastructure" for the town, which will promote coordination of the body and boost the comprehensive response services, achieving greater security, modernizing infrastructure and improving working conditions.

Also stressed provide "more personalized service, and consequently, higher quality for more than 23,000 inhabitants of San Pedro del Pinatar".

The head of the Presidential highlighted the "significant and ongoing effort" made by the regional government, through the Public Safety Plan which, since its launch in 2006, has invested 4,390,946 euros in San Pedro del Pinatar.

In 2013, the Ministry has allocated 600,000 euros to the Consistory to cover the actions of the 20 members of the local police for the same plan.

Also, San Pedro del Pinatar, which has 55 troops in the Local Police Corps has received other 116 381 euros for the purchase of four vehicles, a van versatile and computer equipment, the Fund Improvement of Police Functions.

Surveillance beaches

Another issue discussed at the meeting between the Minister of the Presidency and the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar was the surveillance and rescue beaches as part of the Surveillance and Rescue Beaches and Rescue at Sea Region 2013 (Plan Ballad), worth 503 756 euros, corresponding to the City Council more than 82,000 euros.

The device in San Pedro, which will remain active in September, is composed of 36 professionals who monitor daily to swimmers from eight fixed checkpoints, seven towers and five chairs proximity.

For search and rescue have two inflatable boats, water rescue two bikes, three rescue canoes and chair for disabled or water chair.

Improvements totaling 3.2 million

The Ministry of Presidency, with responsibility for Local Government, has invested 3,277,734 euros in San Pedro del Pinatar in the past six years, with the aim of improving municipal infrastructure.

The replacement and improvement of the network of drinking water in the street poet Eduardo Flores and other roads, improved street lighting in the Canadas, Charity, Catholic Kings and Miguel Hernandez, the renewal of the paving on the streets García Morato Vizcaya, and Antonio Chacón y Calvo Tárraga Lo Pagan, and replenishment of supplies and unpaved roads and Charity Gabriel Canadas, are some of the improvement actions undertaken in the locality.
