Thousands of faithful accompany the Virgen del Carmen on land and sea in San Pedro del Pinatar (16/07/2014)

The municipality marmenorense held today one of his great days, with a pilgrimage on foot from San Pedro to Lo Pagan where thousands of people have participated, and a procession of hundreds of vessels have escorted the Virgin of Carmen, patron saint of seamen

San Pedro del Pinatar celebrates one of the most established festivals and tradition, a procession by land and sea in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of the village, where fishermen and faithful, accompanied by thousands of residents and visitors, move your image from San Pedro del Pinatar to Lo Pagan.

The festival, which dates back to the eighteenth century in the town, has started 0700 with a target through the streets of San Pedro del Pinatar, followed an hour later by a mass-air mass in the Plaza of the Constitution.

The sun and a light breeze from the east, have encouraged hundreds of faithful to participate in the pilgrimage.
